Bhupendra Das, a environment, energy and climate change expert has been involved with NEEDS since its establishment in January, 2013. Mr Das has more than 15 years of experience in the field of energy, environment and climate change. He completed his first master's in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal and second master's in Environmental Technology from Teesside University, UK. 
 
Mr Das is currently a Deputy Team Leader/Climate Change Expert for preparation of District Climate and Energy Plans (DCEPs). He is also a Senior Energy and Environment lecturer at School of Environmental Science and Management (SchEMS), Pokhara University and Khwopa College, Tribhuvan University. Mr Das has also an international experience especially in environment and energy field in the UK. He was appointed as an Environmental Projects Researcher at Middlesbrough Environment City, Middlesbrough, UK; where he made remarkable contributions in community development projects. Furthermore, his contribution is also in various research works that was undertaken from The University of Teesside, UK; The University of Tokyo; Tribhuvan University, Nepal; Nepal Health Research Council; Former Solid Waste Management and Resources Mobilization Centre, Ministry of Local Development; Clean Environmental Nepal, and few other Non Government Organizations of Nepal.
